I have heard it told to follow your heart. I have followed without question. No thought of why or how. Just opening to a path that felt natural. Trusting the invisible guidance that effortlessly shows me the way. The bigger picture slowly emerging as I travel across the land.
The process of creating “Morning Glory” has shown me a way to move in the world with complete faith and trust. I don’t have to have every question answered and all of the factors revealed before I move forward. When I am aligned with the forces that create worlds, there is no question about getting anything wrong.
When we follow our heart and are aligned with Source energy, we automatically create with love. Love touches everyone and everything in its path. There is no greater gift than being true to yourself. This is where my heart has led me…
Nicola Karesh was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1961. During her early school years, Nicola’s interests related to field hockey, reading, writing and music. She attended St. Andrew Preparatory, Junior and High schools, before moving to America in 1979 to attend the University of Tampa.
Nicola received her BA in Psychology with a minor in French and Spanish in 1983. The smaller University made it easier for her to settle into this new life abroad. Not quite ready to return to her native home, Nicola continued her higher education at the University of South Florida. In 1985 she completed the graduate programme, receiving a Master’s in Counselor Education.
Nicola practised as a counselor and therapist in various settings: jail and correctional institutions, public school system (K-12), mental health and treatment agencies. For several years, she had a private practice as a therapist and mentor before making the decision to focus primarily on home-schooling her two children.
In 2006, Nicola was invited to participate in an online poetry group where she re-discovered her love of writing and her joy in connecting with others.
Her first book, “Morning Glory: Poetry And Reflections,” is a beautiful collection of writings from the heart over a three year period.
Nicola enjoys writing about personal life experiences and common themes that most people will easily relate to. She shares issues where she has struggled and come to resolution. Her poetry reflects her love of nature and animals, her inner exploration and unfolding relationship with the Divine.
